Emkay Plastics Sponsors ULM Formula Students Team 2012
Emkay Plastics Ltd are helping out a team from the University of Liverpool in the Formula Student competition this year.
Formula Student is about building future engineering talent by designing and producing a single-seater racing car, not just in design and manufacture, but in many of the management, marketing and people skills so vital in the modern world, across all sectors of employment.
Engineering students will have to build a single seater race car from scratch and then compete in a series of tests/races against about another 75 from universities and institutions from all over the World, including the UK, mainland Europe and from the Americas, Asia and Australasia.
For the universities and institutions involved in ULM Formula Student it represents a valuable project that blends both academic work and learning with the development of practical real world engineering skills.

Rohacell being quasi-statically tested. Improved designs are currently being manufactured for dynamic testing in the coming weeks.
